Coinfinity Base Printing Instructions

All Coinfinity Bases follow the same printing instructions. The bases are designed to provide a stable magnetic platform for organizing your Coinfinity stackers and bins. Each base features integrated magnet wells and non-slip feet for optimal stability.

Coinfinity bases come in various grid configurations to accommodate different organizational needs:

  • 1x3 70mm Base: For bins and larger stackers
  • 1x4 Base: Single column of 4 stackers
  • 2x4 Base: Two columns of 4 stackers each
  • 2x6 HD Base: High-density base for better storage utilization.

All bases are single-piece prints with integrated magnet wells. During a pause in the print, magnets are inserted into the designated wells to create the magnetic mounting points for your stackers. The magnets are inserted with the North pole facing up.

Model Files

To print the bases, first determine which base sizes you want to print based on your organizational needs. You can reference the individual base pages to see the specific dimensions and compatibility for each model.

Open Bambu Studio and import the base files you want to print. For illustration purposes, you can print multiple bases on the same build plate if they fit.

These instructions apply to all of the base models.

Printing Instructions

  1. Print bases flat (bottom side down on the build plate)
  2. Add pause for magnet insertion (recommended)
  3. Face bases forward to hide any seam lines on the back edge
  4. Clean build plate thoroughly before printing for best adhesion
  5. Insert magnets with correct polarity – see Magnets
  6. Check each model’s page for specific dimensions and compatibility

Quality Tips

  • Use high-quality PLA or PETG
  • Clean your build plate before printing
  • Use an enclosure if printing PETG

Slicing Setup

  • Layer Height: 0.2mm
  • Infill: 20-30%
  • Print Speed: normal
  • Nozzle Temperature: 210°C (PLA) / 240°C (PETG)
  • Bed Temperature: 60°C (PLA) / 80°C (PETG)

Build Plate Orientation

  • Place bases flat on the build plate
  • Enable supports; use PETG for the support interface
  • Add support blockers to the magnet wells
  • After slicing, find the layer that covers the magnet wells and add a pause to insert the magnets.

💡 Tip: Set a timer to return to the printer and insert magnets at the right time to avoid layer lines.

Adding Feet (Optional)

Some base models include recesses for rubber feet:

  1. Clean the foot recesses
  2. Apply small rubber feet or bumpers
  3. Ensure feet are level for stable placement

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

  • Warping: Ensure proper bed adhesion and temperature
  • Poor surface finish: Check nozzle temperature and print speed
  • Weak magnetic hold: Verify magnet polarity and depth

Material Recommendations

  • Easy to print
  • Good surface finish
  • Adequate strength for most applications
  • Available in many colors
  • Higher strength and durability
  • Better chemical resistance
  • Slightly more challenging to print
  • Excellent for heavy-duty applications

Safety Notes

  • Magnet Safety: Keep strong magnets away from electronic devices
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation when printing, especially with PETG
  • Hot End Safety: Allow printer to cool completely before handling printed parts
  • Sharp Edges: Some bases may have sharp corners – handle with care during post-processing
